It’s Tweety Time!

More & more clients have been asking me about the Twitter platform lately.
Something new is happening . . . People are talking GOOD about Twitter, which is an unusual thing!

Allow me to explain.

Back in the day when Twitter first began, people formed their own opinions (regardless of the fact if they ever used the platform or not).  Here’s some of the things I heard:

“Oh, Twitter is just for kids. There’s no adults on there.”
“Twitter is too complicated.  I took one look & I’m never going there again!”
“What’s the point of Twitter? Your stuff just gets lost.”
“I’ll never use Twitter, it’s a waste of time!”

OK then.  How does that saying go?  You can lead a horse to water . . . yeah.  You know the rest.  I never force things upon a client that they dislike, & I always give that one good ‘ol “college try” in order to maybe have someone think differently.  But, a person has it in their mind that “well, I read this” & “well, my friend said that” — you get my point.  There IS no point in trying to continue on with the battle of helping them see how wonderful a social platform can truly be.  So, I let it be.

I just read an article about Twitter & how they are now drawing more new users to the platform. Engagement levels between users are rising, hooray!  I’m very happy to hear this stat, because I really do want more people to engage with me on Twitter!

Here’s a cool graph I found through Social Media Examiner.
I’m proud to say I’m part of the 9%  😉

twitter draws new users

Pretty exciting stuff huh?
I know.  You just can’t WAIT to get onto another platform!

See you on Twitter!
